Pediatric Occupational Therapy

Occupational therapy helps develop the underlying skills necessary to perform specific tasks necessary for daily life. Pediatric occupational therapy helps children develop the motor skills and sensory processing skills needed to perform developmental appropriate task. 


Skills occupational therapist help develop:

  • Fine motor/upper body control and coordination

  • Coordination of movements between two sides of the body

  • Motor planning

  • Gross motor coordination

  • Visual perceptual skills

  • General sensory processing skills

  • Oral processing and sensitivity (picky eaters)
